Pauli The PSM: For the Plants

For our second event at The Land School, we collaborated with London-based multi-hyphenate composer, producer, and drummer Pauli The PSM for a meditative listening experience entitled “For the Plants.”

For The Plants explores the symbiotic relationship between music and plants, how sound nurtures living things, and how nature inspires sound. The project was a three-day process that served as both a creative experiment and the inspiration source for Pauli The PSM's forthcoming album. This culminating performance became a blend of improvisation and an exercise in variation, allowing ideas to evolve organically within a theme.

Guests were encouraged to bring a blanket, a pillow, or any other items that would bring comfort as they witnessed the ambient musical experience.

Inspired by the keys of various healing frequencies, the ensemble performed a fully improvised set, with Pauli using an array of percussive instruments & electronic soundscapes.
