Friday, June 19, 12 PM to 1 PM | D-Composed, in partnership with Tricia Hersey, founder of The Nap Ministry, presents our Third Annual Freedom Lullabies, held for the first time at The Land School.
In this beloved immersive rest experience, the D-Composed string quartet will perform live music by Black composers while Hersey reads revolutionary texts from historical Black figures. The gathering invites attendees to engage collective rest as a form of resistance, a celebration of liberation, and a space to dream anew.
In the spirit of community and coziness, guests are encouraged to bring yoga mats, blankets, sleeping bags, pillows, socks, and other items that feel like care.
Reserve your space at the link in our bio. Space is limited.
Please note: This gathering is reserved for folks who identify as part of the African diaspora—a space for Black folks to rest and to celebrate freedom.
