As a bassoonist, versatile improviser, performance artist, and composer of experimental, daring new works that embody a deep love of storytelling; Joy’s music channels her inner child in honor of her ancestors and predecessors.

Throughout this evening, Joy will present selections from her third release, titled Amen, and engage in conversation with D-Composed's own Kori Coleman, further illuminating her distinct practice of arranging, composing, and playing the music shared.
